John Dony

John Dony is director of the Campbell Institute, the global environmental, health and safety center of excellence. Mr. Dony sets Institute vision and strategy, develops leading-edge research, and oversees event, partnership and outreach initiatives. He also serves as director of EHS&S at the National Safety Council where he is responsible for the development and continuous improvement of the Council's EHS&S management system and associated programs, supporting more than 500 employees in the United States and abroad. Since joining the National Safety Council in 2007, Mr. Dony has led numerous high-impact programs, including the prestigious Robert W. Campbell Award. He is a frequent speaker at conferences and has written and contributed to numerous research papers and books. He holds bachelor of arts degrees in English and Sociology from Northwestern University.
